Blog EntryBlog Entry SymbolsMar 17, '07 7:36 PM
by Linda for everyone
You may have noticed them, but you still haven't checked out the additional features when composing a blog entry. Those would be the symbols above the content box where you are type your post. Don't worry! You can't break anything so go ahead and give each and all of them a test run! Save it as a draft to see what it looks like, go back, edit and re-edit til you get comfortable with all of these great options.

The last feature in the consecutive row of symbols is a paper clip. That is the latest feature and is used to "attach" a file to your Post! What a great idea!

However, for some reason you may have tried to do an attachment, and it just seems to sit and spin. Or when the spinning stops, there is no attachment showing. That's usually not a Multiply issue or bug, but has to do with the file you are trying to attach.

The file size limit is 20 mgs per attachment. So be sure and check your file size first. Just right click on your file, then go to properties and the file size is there. Of course, the larger the file, the longer this spinning will take place, because you are actually uploading. But did you know that you can also attach up to five files, 20 mgs or less per blog! So actually your limit is 100 mgs per blog! Just attach them one at a time, and again, check your file sizes first.

If however, the file you are trying to attach is too large, then it will stop spinning and there will be no attachment. That is the number one reason a file won't attach. File size. Always check that first!

Many different kinds of files can be attached by using this paperclip "attachment" feature. I personally like to use it for is PDF files and Slideshows! I've attached a slideshow that includes music also as an example. Just right click on the attachment below, "save as" or "save target as" (depending on the browser you are using) and save it to your computer or desktop. Then view at your leisure! PDF & Slideshow files are usually a lot of information in a small file so it works great for this!

Other kinds of files also can be attached, so just watch your file sizes and ENJOY !!

NOTE: As with downloading anything from any site, always scan everything with an antivirus and antispyware program BEFORE you open it.
