1. TITLING YOUR POSTPlease do NOT title your Questions with "HELP" or "QUESTION" or any other vague title like that. Everyone needs help or has a question. You must title your Question with the SUBJECT of your Questions. There's been a rash of these posts titled like this, not just at this group but the other Help Groups as well. And many are ignoring those posts. No subject generates no interest to help. The options the admins have for these mistitled posts are to ask in the thread AND send a PM to you to retitle AND INCLUDING the link for you to do so. This is TOO much work for admins to do! So the other option is to delete the question altogether including any replies (which you may or may not have seen yet). Vague titles not only get ignored and/or some refuse to reply that actually have the answer, but the post becomes TOTALLY useless to everyone else that needs or searches for the answer. Help groups are to help everyone, and not as a "one on one" only.So TITLE your question with the subject, for instance - not just "music" but "can't upload music". Just don't post your entire long question in the title. I've seen that too. 2. SEARCHThere is rarely a question that hasn't already been answered. There is a Search feature on the HOMEPAGE of this group. Use that first. Yes, you will probably get a lot of search hits but the answer is there! And usually within the first five or so hits on that page. Search using phrases, not just a single word. Refine your search. For instance, not just "music" but "can't upload music". Admins and other users use the same tools you use to find the links to threads for you to read. So if we can do it and paste the link to it, you can just as easily find it too. I do suggest looking down the blog list first (currently FAQ's are listed there and are all showing on the homepage) You can also use the tag boxes on the homepage that will take you to the different blog items, depending on the tag/subject of the FAQ.
There will be questions of course, or questions that may or may not apply to a previous post. We welcome those questions. But all members can see a question and know right off the bat if they've seen it here before (asked over and over). So all we are asking is that you search first. If your question is different or new or you honestly can't find the right answer, then post your question in notes and we'll be glad to help.
Remember... Look at the blog titles on the homepage first. Use the tag boxes on the homepage here for them if you need to. Then use the search feature on the homepage here. Because this is exactly what everyone else does to answer your question.
(Another quick search is to click on blog or notes in the nav bar of the homepage here, and you will see all the titles in table view) NOTE: The "SEARCH" at the very top of the page will also find questions and answers in all the groups, and not just this one. If you aren't sure to which group your question may apply, try that feature. Thanks for your cooperation, and remember.. this applies to all of the HELP groups in the right rail as well ------------------------------------------------------------->
