Blog EntryPersonal Calendar vs. Network CalendarMar 18, '07 1:03 AM
by Meg for everyone
On Multiply you can keep track of all of your personal events, as well as view an aggregated version called the network calendar that includes all of your contacts' events as well.

In your personal calendar, you can use the same privacy settings that are available in all posts on Multiply. So you may choose to set "Twelfth Night - Opening Day" to "everyone" but save something like "Hernia Operation" to only "contacts" and perhaps save "Get Hair Cut" in a post that's a handy reminder just for you.

The network calendar includes not only your posts, but posts by your contacts as well (if they've set the privacy settings such that you can see them). You can also customize your network calendar. By clicking on the "view calendar" link on my messages page, you can set your calendar to show you just your contacts events, or extend that to your wider network. You can also include group events if you'd like.

Is there a way to add a picture to an event. I have seen this on some users sites but can't seem to figure out how to do it.

I know you say you can block out "everyone" on a personal calendar, but none of my searching has shown me how to do that. I don't really want everyone knowing every move I make. So how to I limit access?

I thought I had fixed it so no one could see what I posted on my calendar. It's for my eyes only, yet the calendar appears on my page clear as a bell. I want to be able to delete everything now. How do I do this?

What if I don't mind them being public but not till the actual time that the event will happen? I was putting some events in for myself for the future and next thing I know I've got friends posting comments to things that won't be coming up until June of 08. Is there something that can be done so it can show up around a week or so before the actual date?

why there front some birthdays a cake of birthday and some birthday no?

sanssouciblogs wrote on Dec 30, '07
1. Questioning the birthday cake icon, too. How is it accessed?
I noticed on my My multiply the calendar is displaying a bunch of birthdays--I know for sure these people are not having birthdays and did not put these up.
2. I have issues with my calendar: my blog is open to everyone, I posted an event that was to start yesterday into tomorrow, and on the right margin, it does not appear. (creARTive Sunday)

I see no way to make an event private as is mentioned above.

thanks for your help,
Sue

I would like to see an OPTION for events/birthdays to repeat every year until deleted/removed. When a birthdate has passed, the date is lost unless we re-enter.
