What is a group and why would I create one?Multiply
groups are the perfect way to share and discuss photos, events, blogs
and other stuff with people who like the same things you do. You can go
right now to the
search groups page to look for groups you might be interested in. If you don't find anything you like, you can always
create your own group
about a topic you love, or to use as a web site for an organization you
belong to. Any group of people that could benefit from an on-line
presence with built-in messaging will love Multiply groups.
Groups get their own site located at
http://GroupName.multiply.com>http://GroupName.multiply.com">http://GroupName.multiply.com.
Whenever someone adds something new to the group's site, you'll see it
on the message board, so you only have to check one place to see what's
new with your friends and family, and all your groups.
Can't
think of any groups you'd want to create or join? How about these
examples: your high school or college alumni, people who love golf,
everyone in the charitable organization you volunteer with, etc. The
search groups page lists a bunch of categories that could give you even more ideas.
There
are two types of groups: Public groups, which anyone can search for and
join, and Private groups, which you can only join if invited.
Where can I search for all the groups people have created on Multiply?
Right here.
You can search by category or enter the type of group you're looking
for. All public groups matching your search terms will be displayed.
What is a group Admin?
If
you created a group, you are by default the group's Administrator
(Admin). That means you can invite or remove members, change the
group's name, delete the group and change other group settings. You can
also grant Admin privileges to any other group member by clicking
"Admin ON" next to their name.
All of the above information has been taken directly from the Multiply FAQ page.
