Multiply User Support

If you receive a PM similar to this screenshot, (Click on image to enlarge), please just block the user and report the User to CS with the PM information.

Multiply has already blocked the defacing code so no other action needs to be taken other than report any harassment. Do not however, go to their homepage. Thanks.

EDIT: REMOVED USERID = NOTE THAT THE NAME IN THE SCREENSHOT IS NOT THE USERID.

I will temporarily leave this thread open to replies in case there's another related issue.

It will appear to, but you won't show in the viewing history. The user just keeps making new accounts. That's all it is. You can block or not if you wish. If you block, you can't get a pm. But only report if you get one like this from any user. Here's the rest of the content of the PM btw... It's ridiculous.

i am so sorry if i was to hurt ur heart with my deface to much multiply's... i am just man of suck.. why i am do that? because i so poor n need to eat, with my defacing a friend pay me with a litle foods,... u may can't believe it but i say to bee a real... i do defacing with my friends aim... is too many trafic in site of him.. if u wanna know him... i would to say who is him, but i hope u re not tell to other... they are USER ID REMOVED & USER ID REMOVED.

No it's fine. Keep em blocked. I just removed the user id because I don't want anyone going to the page.

linda, post the xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/block thing again please, we know that we will only block the user and do not have to visit the site. god knows what the loser will do next... we have to protect users

If I'm not mistaken, there are two ways to do that. Either go to that user's page (which Linda explicitly told us not to) or click on their headshot (If indeed you received a PM). So I'd like to raise this issue I've encountered a couple of times when clicking on a headshot takes you automatically to that user's page (ie, It doesn't show their miniprofile, when it should). So should I take the risk of clicking on their headshot or is there any other way to block a person? Like typing on a link. (eg, http://multiply.com/block_user=USERNAME) Note: I made that link up. No such thing as that.

Yes that's it. Just use the url. It will "appear" that you are on their page but you actually aren't and you won't show in the viewing history.

To view the picture in the blog to actually see it, you cannot. I clicked on the screenshot to see what it said and all it did was go to a page saying that it cannot be found? Why would the picture screenshot not be found?
