Yahoo! 360 Refugees: 'We Don't Die, We Multiply!'

Welcome to the Refugee Camp, where we're trying to link up everyone that is moving from the doomed USS Y!360 onto safer ground. This group is different from other groups for Yahoo! users in that we are trying to make connections established on Yahoo! 360 available here on Multiply. Whether you're setting this up as a bomb shelter in case you have to move, or whether you're setting up shop here, this group can help you. Be sure to tell your friends who are moving so they can find their friends as well.

Blog EntryContacts Can't Access Your Links?Mar 18, '07 12:45 AM
by Linda for everyone
Ocasionally one or more of your contacts may say, "I clicked on the link you posted, but I can't see the page". This is usually a result of a link posted to another site or group within Multiply, and the content at the link is not available to "EVERYONE". Therefore, only those who are IN the group it is set for (Contacts or Network) can see the page you linked to.

Guidelines to linking within Multiply:

1. Content of the Link must be set to Everyone to be visible to all who click on your link. (Unless you share the exact same contact list or network and that's usually not the case)

2. Before linking to anyone else's site, regardless of the settings, you should ask permission of the page owner first.

3. Before linking to any Group, ask permission of the group admins, and also check the group's settings, as some require membership to see all content.

4. ALWAYS ask permission to repost content (especially copy/paste) and give credit to the original author or poster. Even if it's one of your contacts or someone you know, but especially if it's someone you don't! This helps avoid a lot of complaints and personal issues within Multiply !

Everyone works very hard to make their sites and groups nice, and appreciate your compliments. However, even the sincerest form of flattery (imitation) may not go over quite so well. So just ASK. Most people are more than happy to accomodate! :)
